 Office Manager - Grand Rapids 

Legacy is seeking an experienced Office Manager to assist with day-to-day operations at a 180-unit property in Grand Rapids, MI. You will be responsible performing a wide range of administrative and office duties including scheduling recertification interviews, processing certifications (initial, interim, annual and termination) including resident notifications and obtaining verification information required to complete certifications. The Office Manageris a vital part of our team and is responsible for providing professional and courteous service to residents, monitoring and inputting required information in tracking software and monthly EIV reporting.  To be successful in this role you must be organized and highly detailed with the capability to track and meet deadlines. In addition, teamwork with the ability to work within different departments and with other staff is necessary to be successful.

Requirements: 

  • At least 3 years of office administrative experience
  • At least three years of recent occupancy specialist related experience
  • Ability to complete high quality work and meet deadlines while multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and handle confidential information
  • Experience with LIHTC and Section 8 programs
  • Awareness of Fair Housing rules and regulations preferred

Legacy, LLC is seeking a Full-time Regional Maintenance Manager in the Detroit area who is fully accountable for the management of maintenance employees and enhancing the value of and overseeing day to day property operations for a small portfolio of multi-family properties.This position is required to travel to various communities to manage the planning, and maintenance of buildings, building equipment and other building systems, budgets, and scheduling of building maintenance. The Regional Maintenance Manager ensures that portfolio and individual communities meet the established operational, financial, and maintenance performance goals. Qualifications:

  • Customer service oriented

Compliance Manager Public Housing 

Legacy is seeking a full-time Compliance Manager Public Housing responsible for training and providing support as well as interpreting and applying government regulations to a Public Housing portfolio of properties located in Detroit, MI. This position is responsible for assuring program compliance through hands-on review and site implementation of regulatory agreements covering the rental housing industry, monthly reporting and procedures. The Compliance Manager will perform rent determinations and quality control reviews of applicant files, resident files, oversees EIV processes, input certifications, ensure accuracy in Yardi and review PIC regularly to ensure certifications remain in compliance. Teamwork with the ability to work within different departments and with other staff is necessary to be successful. 

Requirements:

Screening and Interviewing

Recruiting will review each applicant's qualifications. This may include a discussion with the employee's manager, and, if appropriate, interview candidates and discuss their qualifications and interest in the job.  Compliance Specialist - DHC Properties

Requirements

  • Customer service oriented
  • At least 2 years of Yardi Voyager or similar software experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have hands on knowledge of HUD, LIHTC, Subsidy, and HOME programs
  • Must have history of above average/superior audit reviews
  • COS and/or Tax Credit certification preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office products
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose errors
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) are necessary
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Good organizational skills are required to maintain time management of schedule
  • Understanding of an onsite position and requirements of those positions
  • Knowledge of TRACS Management and HUD requirements

Legacy is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician for a 224-unit market rate property in Saginaw, MI. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining property grounds (clean up and trash removal) including mechanical and manual snow removal, unit turns (tear down and maintenance repair of vacant units), plumbing, painting and completing residential work orders in timely and accurate manner. This position requires the ability to work different shifts, including on-call, emergencies, weekends, holidays, and extended hours outdoors in different weather conditions. Teamwork with the ability to work within different departments and with other staff is necessary to be successful. 

Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma, GED, or some college credits from a technical school; or one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in plumbing, electrical, structural, and appliance repair
  • Experience with drywall repairs and painting are essential
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and independently
  • Customer Service attitude in all interactions with staff and residents
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • HVAC Certification is a plus
  • Ability to work occasional weekends and/or evenings required

Providing exceptional customer service and the ability to work independently is necessary to be successful.

  • High School Diploma or GED; credits or training from a technical school or college preferred
  • Three or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in plumbing, electrical, structural, and appliance repair
  • Experience with drywall repairs and painting is essential
