Legacy is seeking a full-time Grounds person to support a 186-unit property located in Detroit, MI. As Grounds person, you will be responsible for maintaining property grounds, cleaning up around the perimeter of the property and trash removal including mechanical and manual snow removal. This position is responsible for performing some general maintenance and janitorial duties and requires the ability to work different shifts, including on-call, emergencies, weekends, holidays, and extended hours outdoors in different weather conditions. Teamwork with the ability to work within different departments and with other staff is necessary to be successful. 

Requirements: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required
• Identifies and reports broken equipment or uncertain conditions
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and safe condition that meets safety regulations
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and independently
• Customer Service attitude in all interactions with staff and residents
• May be required to lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
• Ability to work occasional weekends required
