Legacy is seeking a part-time, temporary Groundskeeper for our 136-unit market rate property located in Canton, Michigan.  As a Groundskeeper, you will be responsible for the general upkeep of the property grounds including parking lots, exterior building entryways, common hallways, grounds and amenity areas.  In addition, the Groundskeeper will be responsible for blowing walkways, sweeping porches, and assisting the maintenance staff with any additional tasks as directed.  This position will work from May to September 3-days per week with a flexible start and end time negotiable.  Teamwork with the ability to work within different departments and with other staff is necessary to be successful.

Responsibilities:

• Trash pick-up and maintaining clean dumpster areas
• Blowing walkways and sweeping porches
• Exterior and interior light fixture clean out
• Common hallways dusted for cobwebs
• Washing common hallway walls, handrails, and doors as needed
• Washing picnic tables
• Weeding, planting, seeding, pruning, and clearing debris as needed
• Park grills clean out, community garden mulch, tilling sand areas
• Assist maintenance with tasks as directed
• Report any potential safety or maintenance issues 

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be punctual and be able to demonstrate regular attendance on set scheduled days
• Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions
• Ability to bed, stretch, twist, and walk continuously
• Ability to perform physically demanding and repetitive tasks
• May be required to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must possess a strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with time management skills
