Legacy is seeking a Full-Time Cook to support a 53-unit senior market rate community located in Holt, Michigan. This position is responsible for preparing a variety of fresh meals, working on a schedule to have the meals prepared on-time for serving, serving residents their meals, cleaning up the dining room and dishes, and handling food prep.The ideal candidate will also be able to follow all food code laws to ensure proper sanitation and food safety.  Teamwork with the ability to work within different departments and with other staff is necessary to be successful. 

 

Requirements: 

 

  • High School diploma (or equivalent) or technical school
  • Two years fine dining experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Customer service focused with ability to work cooperatively with other team members
  • Ability to work with seniors
  • Effective communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks 
  • Evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required so must have a punctual and dependable work ethic
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
